This project proposes a theoretical framework, the Schema-Modulated Predictive Aesthetic Construction (SMPAC) model, exploring aesthetic value as an active predictive signal in the visual system rather than a passive downstream evaluation. It examines how internally generated priors — shaped by knowledge, context, and individual differences — may guide perceptual selection, attention, and conscious visual experience.
